Lucy is a small albino who is very curious and personable. She looks for attention. Unfortunately at present she also has adrenal desease and has lost some hair. She is still very active. Just remember that most owners of albinos swear they can see the facial expressions better on albinos than on Sables. Lucy is 7 of 9 Update, Lucy has grown an amazing coat this fall and looks wonderful, she needs a good home. Update, Lucy has now successfully had her adrenal removed and is just about ready to be adopted. No one who meets her can ignore this wonderful ball of fluff, she just loves to be on someone. Lucy has been adopted, and is going to live with her broher Fred, also one of the nine who came in together. Wish her a long life. Update on Lucy by her new owner. Hi Randy! Things are going well so far with Lucy and Finn. There have been a few spats between the two of them but those are obviously to be expected. Lucy really does have 100% hit with the litterbox which is definitely welcome! We've also definitely starting to notice the distinct differences between the two of them, for instance- Finn likes to crawl into dresser drawers, Lucy likes to crawl down everyone's shirt. Finn likes to eat N-bones, Lucy likes to eat anything edible within a 10 meter radius. It seems as though we will have to really watch that Lucy doesn't get a hold of human foods, she seems about a hundred times more interested in it then Finn has ever has been. On a plus side, does this mean she is less imprinted on ferret kibble and may be more adaptable to some meat? Let's hope. Lucy also for some reason doesn't like the hammock, which leads me to believe that it is the hammocks fault and not that Finn prefered sleeping in his bed, or his other bed, or his igloo, or his drawer filled with fleece blankets or various other dark nooks and crannies. On the weekend we will go on a hunt for a more comfy, larger hammock. Attached is a picture we took last night. We had noticed that things had got quiet, and upon investigation saw that they had both gotten into the same section of the cage, and had fallen asleep (slightly) close together. We quietly opened the door to snap a shot. They're not dead, we promise, just fast asleep. Hopefully this is a good sign, but we're still having them sleep seperate as a precaution for a little while longer, just giving them lots of time to play together during the day. On an unrelated note, we still haven't really decided about a name change for Lucy. We had thought about the names Micah, Clementine and Harlow but for some reason still haven't actually started calling her any of those. So, for now she is still lucy. I guess decision day will come on her vet appointment when we need to choose what name to register her as. Anyways, apologies for the long e-mail, it's hard to keep it short when talking about such adorable and personable furbabies. We will try to get nicer photos of finn and lucy together, but for now they are just too excited to generally sit still long enough for a photo. :) Thank you so much for giving Finn and Lucy a chance at a new life with us. We promise to spoil them, cuddle them and make sure they stay out of trouble. Warm Regards, Sawyer, Leah & the gang |
