Onyx is a very calm and patient 1-1/2 year-old girl, who loves exploring! She is closely bonded to Amber, and will seek her out for frequent grooming, play, or cuddle sessions. But sometimes the roles are reversed and Amber takes the lead in grooming and managing her. She loves being held, and is happy to receive pets and scritches.
Amber is also 1-1/2 years old, and equally protective of Onyx. She’s usually the first one awake when someone enters the room, and immediately comes to scout out what is going on. She can be a bit nippy sometimes, but has good control of her teeth overall, and rarely breaks skin. She is definitely the spicier of the two girls, and also the bigger trouble maker. She loves exploring, and is a fearless climber. (We strongly recommend she have a Ferret Nation cage instead of a Critter Nation, as she free-climbs them without hesitation).
- Both can sometimes get annoyed with the other’s grooming and attentiveness. Both girls came to us intact and have been spayed, so some of these “mothering” behaviours have diminished as their bodies adapted.
