Lovely Rita is sis to Sage. Rita is spayed and de-scented. She is now up to date with her distemper vaccines and tested ADV negative. Rita’s story is similar to Sage’s. They must be adopted as a pair. She arrived at her last home via an internet ad. In a case of mistaken identity she was advertised as a male ferret. Her stopover at the shelter is home #3 for her as well. Rita is about 5 years old. This wee lass arrived here minus most of her fur coat and very adrenal. After a bout of bad poops and weight loss, both were moved to foster care. We are happy to report that Rita finally had a successful adrenal surgery on Nov.21 and is now sporting a lovely full fur coat. Rita is very hyper and active. She can certainly outdance Sage. She also enjoys racing thru the tubes. This tiny Houdini can slip thru tiny openings so super ferret-proofing is in order. She is gentle and inquisitive but can’t sit still. Once she knows you she will come running for a pickup every time she sees you. At the end of a play session, you’ll find this tired bundle of energy huddled under the blankets with buddy Sage. This pair truly deserves a loving home that will keep them till the end of their natural lives.
